Right in the middle of this inland waterway is Granville Island with its Public Market, artists studios, galleries and great restaurants. Not to be missed, take a small `Aquabus' or a short cab ride to get here. Directly West of Downtown is the Westend, English Bay and Stanley Park. The Westend is an Urban living area with many apartments, condos and shady streets, it is said to be the most densely populated area in North America with thousands of residents. A quick walk from your hotel through the West End brings you to one of the cities Urban beaches, English Bay.
